Seasons Greetings & Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
The directors and staff of Dye & Co. Pty Ltd would like to wish everyone a very safe and Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2017.
Following on from last year we have again made a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (“JDRF”) in lieu of sending Christmas cards.
Many of you will be aware a son of one of our directors Roger Grant was diagnosed with type one diabetes (“T1D”) five years ago at the age of twelve. Roger is always open to speaking to parents with type one children and sharing experiences to promote understanding and education.
For the uninitiated, management of T1D probably centres around regular insulin injections. To gain a greater understanding of the impact that T1D has on day to day life, take some time to read a mothers one month challenge. Her challenge is to adopt a single different focus each day for a month to appreciate the juggling act! Her challenge can be found at;
http://blog.jdrf.org.au/2016/11/17/could-you-hack-a-month-in-the-life-of-type-1-diabetes/
T1D in children is twice as common as it was 20 years ago due to the changing environment that we live in. JDRF is supporting research to identify the factors in the environment that are harmful or protective and how they interact with our genes.
Anyone can donate to this very worthy cause directly at www.jdrf.org.au/donate
Should you have any queries during the festive season please do not hesitate to send an email to our directors; nicholas@dyeco.com.au, shane@dyeco.com.au or roger@dyeco.com.au.
We look forward to seeing you in 2017.
